Leases and Permits

Four cattle grazing leases are associated with the operation of the River Valley Ranch and can be transferred at close.  There are two BLM leases and there are two State of Montana leases.  The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) leases cover 1,296 +/- acres.  The State of Montana leases encompass 864 +/- acres.

Water Rights

Water resources are available throughout the ranch holdings. The "Halligan Hills" has four developed springs conveniently spread for cattle.  The ranch owns 2,000 shares in the Lima Reservoir for stock water and irrigation purposes.  The 2,000 shares in the Lima Reservoir will transfer with the sale of the ranch.  The "Moss Place" offers a 12 GPM stock well plus two additional house wells plumbed to stock tanks.  The "Taft Place" offers an 8 GPM well, also plumbed to a stock tank on the "Halligan Hills", and the "Fitter Place" adds two more house wells.
