Location & Setting

The Southwestern area of Montana, renown worldwide for expansive investment ranch holdings, is the setting for the River Valley Ranch.  The ranch headquarters is 4 miles East of the small rural town of Lima.  With a population of approximately 265, Lima offers K-12 schools, ambulance and fire service, churches, motels, restaurant and shopping.  Approximately 48 miles to the North of the ranch is Dillon, the county seat of Beaverhead county.  

Dillon is home to University of Montana-Western and offers a regional hospital and financial services.  The major Montana cities of Bozeman and Butte are a few hours to the North while Idaho Falls is just a little over an hour to the South.
